LED Sources
An LED is an excellent choice for experiments requiring an actinic source or fluorescence excitation. An LED can be controlled with sub-microsecond precision (independently) for the duration required, with nearly limitless scripted options possible.A bandpass filter can be used for refinement of the light with any LED For fluorescence, choose an appropriate wavelength and optionally filter to obtain the appropriate excitation wavelength(s).
Changing LEDs takes moments and no tools, so a given laboratory might own various LEDs to support an array of experiments.
