Peltier Cell Holders

For computerized thermal melts and thermal denaturation studies, add a single or multiple position Peltier cell holder. The OLIS software sets and adjusts the temperature by following a simple ASCII script that you tailor to each experiment or reuse. Collect “spectra as a function of temperature” or do a single wavelength assay as a function of temperature. 2D and 3D display and analyses of results are included in our software. Thin Film Holder
Variable Angle Thin Film Holder
The OLIS Variable Angle Thin Film holder is a computerized-controlled accessory for collecting spectra as a function of angle. This accessory can be used on all OLIS spectrophotometers and is very popular on the CPL Solo and the upcycled PE 983 IR, where solid samples are commonly analyzed. OLIS USA Stopped-Flow
Useful, simple, affordable two syringe device for millisecond mixing
Patterned after the original Gibson-Durrum-Dionex stopped-flow, the OLIS stopped-flow is fitted with five sensors for monitoring the positions of the pistons and valves, guaranteeing against misfiring and thus against loss of reagents and/or damage to the equipment or operator. Read more here.
OLIS Automatic Titrator
Two syringe mixing system optimized for precision mixing
Designed to mix A & B internally and then inject the resulting homogeneous solution into cuvette for measurement. This titrator is of our design. Sample is in the measurement beam only during reading; can be kept anaerobic and thermo-regulated; precision to 1/10,000th volume of syringe (from 0.5 to 10 mL syringe models available). DeSa Permanent Magnet
1.4 Tesla magnet for MCD & MCPL without electricity or cooling
Patented by DeSa in 2006 as a “Sample Holder with Intense Magnet Field,” the affordable magnet costs nothing to operate, so MCD and MCPL could be done daily. And, it is so lightweight (2.5 kg) that reversible field work is practical. (Did you know what all molecules have an MCD signal, not just chiral ones?) Read more here.
OLIS PLT3
Phosphorescence Lifetime Measurement
An elegant and direct alternative to TCSPC for lifetime measurements. Use in a free-standing form or as an enhancement to a CPL spectrometer or the OLIS CLARiTY UV/Vis.
On a CLARiTY, the PLT3 makes direct measure of dissolved O2. On a CPL spectrometer, it allows you to quantify emission as phosphorescence or thermally activated delayed fluorescence.

Rapid Mixing Accessory
The SFA-20 is a rapid mixing accessory produced by TgK Scientific, which is an effective lower-cost alternative to the OLIS USA stopped-flow. The SFA-20 is entirely suitable as an entry level stopped-flow and is sufficiently fast for research applications that do not require 1-2 millisecond mixing times. The SFA-20 is rated to have a “nominal deadtime < 8ms, allowing reaction rates of up to 100 s-1 to be monitored.” The two reactants are in independent gas-tight syringes, shot into an inert sample circuit through an umbilical cord to the flow cell where they are mixed by a high efficiency T-format mixer. The standard flow cell is useable for immediate use with the HP 8453 and most OLIS spectrophotometers. Flow cells specific to the CLARiTY and CD models are available on request.
Digital Water Bath
Julabo is our preferred supplier for digital water baths. Our software allows use of these computer controllable water with our stopped-flow as well as cuvette spectrophotometers. Simple or complex experiments of “spectra as a function of temperature.” 2D and 3D display and analyses of results are included in our software.
PowerFlea Mixer
While the DSPC within every CLARiTY supports use of a stir bar for stirring the sample during thermal studies and when precipitation could otherwise occur, the PowerFlea is a stirring-from-above accessory that creates powerful agitation for difficult mixing situations, i.e., creating an emulsion of an otherwise bilayer suspension. CLARiTY Upgrade
Excluding the HP 8452 and HP 8453, all OLIS spectrophotometry systems can be transformed into CLARiTY UV/Vis spectrophotometers. Call for details.
OLIS Tonometer Adapter
Ensures Anaerobicity During Reagent Mixing
This unusual-looking apparatus is used to ease introduction of known degassed solvents into the gastight stopped-flow device. Double stop cocks enable precise control of gas flow. Read more here.
