OLIS Phosphorescence Lifetime PLT3

Free-standing (shown) or as an enhancement to CPL and CLARiTY spectrophotometers

Originally developed as an enhancement to a CLARiTY for measuring dissolved oxygen during an absorbance measurement, the PLT3 became a free-standing instrument in 2019.  Today, it is commonly added to CPL spectrometers to quantify emission as phosphorescence or fluorescence. Acquires a decay curve up to 4,000 times per second for microsecond lifetime measurements.

 Standard Model Performance

  • Microsecond Phosphorescence Lifetime

  • Oxygen measurement in solution or suspension

  • Directly determine photoluminescence rate, as well as detect chemiluminescence

  • Pedagogical System for teaching phosphorescence

  • Use as a digital oscilloscope for detecting artifact sources caused by linearly polarized light
